Stop number five. The magical Izu peninsula.
Finally, six years down the line from a purchase at Mersing Jetty, the T-shirt fits….and it looks perfect!
Fuji McDonalds. We wouldn’t be in here if it wasn’t for Rosie…honestly.
Mum and Mouse
My new friend
Good morning Fuji!
Stop number three. Mount Fuji national park. Beautiful yet orderly in a totally Japanese way.
The latest addition to the Woodhead clan is Snowy. A small blue and white whale shark (and Lucy’s sister apparently) bought at the excellent Notojima aquarium today. Welcome, Snowy.
Stop number three. We literally stuck a pin in a map, and ended up here – Notojima Island in Ishikawa prefecture. Beautiful, lush and green. A hidden paradise.
From a glass bottle, as it should be. The beginning of the slippery slope….although she hasn’t demanded any more since.
Stop number two. Jade beach, Toyama. Time to crack open the tent. This was the site of Rosie’s first catch (unfortunately not on film – as with all real fishermen…) Her first cast, with a 100 yen rod, whilst Mum and Dad looked on, fishless for the rest of the day….
The Lamp guesthouse. Lake Nojiri
Misty and remote. Lovely Lake Nojiri in the mountains of Nagano prefecture. First stop on our holiday roadtrip.
